My name is Sandie, and this is a picture of me with my husband and children in front of our azalea bushes.
Our four oldest children no longer live at home, but we were able to get us all together on this gorgeous spring day to get this fun family photo!
My husband, Roy, and I began our journey together almost 30 years ago. And what a journey it has been. One that I would not trade for anything!
After only 4 months of marriage, I became pregnant with our first child, and we were blessed with another baby every 2 or 3 years until our 9th arrived almost 9 years ago. We decided soon after we were married that we would homeschool our children so, needless to say, my life has been quite busy with full time mommyhood for many, many years!
Here I am, over 50 years old, and it’s only been in the last few years that I’ve taken the time to stop and think about what I am interested in, and what I have become really passionate about. If I could summarize them, the list would include: child raising, homeschooling, homebirthing, healthy homemaking, healthy eating, organic gardening and living naturally in God’s awesome creation. Those are the things that I would like to talk to you about in my writings….what I’ve learned, and what I am still learning. Click here or on the ‘Home’ tab above to get over to my posts. And I hope that you will always feel free to leave a comment, whether you agree, disagree, or just want to say howdy.

Wow, Sandie! Twenty-seven years and nine home schooled children?!? You are my hero!!!!
)
I had home schooled my four boys for two years while one of my sons was in End Stage Renal Failure, and then for a year after the kidney transplant.
It was all I could do to get through each day, though. But, it was something we had to do due to his immunosuppression. We were on ‘lock down’ for quite some time.
Mine are all in a wonderful school district, now, and are doing great. However, I greatly admire and support those who do home school.
Your family is just precious, and I know you are proud of each and every one of them. Keep up the wonderful work you are doing!
I found your blog via twitter (user id: naturesencore), and I’m so glad I did. You seem like a beautiful person, and someone I’d love to connect with in this wide realm of blogging. ;o)
